CO2 Levels higher in the 1940’s?

The Air Vent has a very interesting post about the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere. The IPCC says it has continued steady at 280 ppm for a very long time, until recently.

However, if you go back and look at the levels scientists measures in the 19th century, it seems to show they were actually up around 310 ppm for most of that time.

And in the 1940’s, they went to 440 or so.
