The Post says Pakistan has arrested someone in connection with the Times Square Bombing.
The Pakistani government has arrested a suspect with connections to a Pakistani militant group who said he acted as an accomplice to the accused Times Square bomber, U.S. officials said.
Hmmm. A “Pakistani Militant group”.
I wonder what they are fighting for. Is it the “Pakistani Liberation Movement?” Perhaps the “Movement for the Liberation of Pakistan”? Maybe “Pakistan Forever” or “Hands off Pakistan”? Freedom for Baluchistan?
No, it’s the good old Taliban.
The suspect, whose arrest has not been previously disclosed, provided an “independent stream” of evidence that the Pakistani Taliban was behind the attack…
I wonder what the Pakistani Taliban is?
Among the group’s stated objectives are resistance against the Pakistani army, enforcement of sharia, and attacks against American and NATO forces in Afghanistan. It uses tribal areas along the Afghan border to train fighters. It has formed an alliance with al-Qaeda, sharing money and bomb experts and makers.John Brennan, President Obama’s chief counterterrorism adviser, said: “It’s a group that is closely allied with al-Qaeda. They train together, they plan together, they plot together. They are almost indistinguishable.”
Wow. That almost sounds like a radical Islamist group.
